The Federation was founded in Vienna, Austria, in November of 2006 by Ms. Susanne Putsche and Mr. Thomas L. Dobert. A conference of representatives and spokespersons, as well as numerous shooters and competitors, in Philippsburg, Germany, in August 2006 preceded this actual founding of the Federation. A majority of the organizations and federations present at the founding meeting voted in favor of establishing this international federation. The representatives of the partaking organizations welcomed the founding of CASe with its seat and headquarters in Vienna, and immediately registered their respective organizations as official members with CASe.
